At the invitation of the organisers, a delegation of the SCO Secretariat led by Deputy Secretary-General Nurlan Yermekbayev took part in the international security conference, Realities of Global Security in a Multipolar World, which opened in Moscow on 15 August 2023.

In his remarks, Nurlan Yermekbayev spelled out the main priorities of the SCO with regard to security, and reaffirmed the organisation’s readiness to develop cooperation with the international community in order to improve the global security management system and achieve lasting peace.

The day before, representatives of the SCO Secretariat attended the opening of the Army-2023 International Military Technical Forum and visited the exhibition of modern weapons, military and special equipment.
