SCO Deputy Secretary General Shri Janesh Kain delivered welcoming remarks at the International Forum on Tourism Development in Kazakhstan held in Aktau on 15-16 September. He noted that deepening mutually beneficial cooperation in tourism wasis one of the SCO’s main SCO  priorities.

According to the SCO Development Strategy until 2025, the main task in this area is to promote further growth of mutual tourist flows and improve the quality of services in this sphere in the region.

On the sidelines of the Forum, Shri Janesh Kain met with Yermek Marzhikpayev, Minister of Tourism and Sports of Kazakhstan. They discussed the tourism component of the Kazakhstan Cchairmanship's agenda for 2023-2024.
