On Jan 15, Kazakhstan chaired the first meeting of the SCO expert working group on interaction in the area of tourism. The meeting was held via video conference.

The participants discussed the draft Joint Action Plan to Implement the SCO Tourism Cooperation Programme for 2024-2025. The document is expected to be submitted for approval to the Meeting of the SCO Countries' Tourism Administrations Heads scheduled for April 12 in Almaty.

It was decided to hold the next expert meeting on Feb 19, 2024.
