On Nov 6, Cui Li, vice-president of the Good-Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation Commission (GNFCC) of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), attended and addressed the closing ceremony of the 12th China-Central Asia Cooperation Forum held in Urumqi, Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region.

Cui extended congratulations on the successful holding of the forum, highlighting that Shen Yueyue, vice-chairperson of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and president of the GNFCC, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a keynote speech. Cui noted that leaders from Central Asian countries attending the forum also delivered addresses, highly commending China-proposed Belt and Road cooperation and the advancement of Chinese modernization. Cui added that they put forward substantive suggestions for pragmatic cooperation, contributing wisdom and strength to the building of a China-Central Asia community with a shared future.
Cui underscored the vast potential and promising prospects of China-Central Asia cooperation under the new circumstances, pledging that the GNFCC, as one of the forum's hosts, will continue working closely with all parties to advance the comprehensive agenda of China-Central Asia cooperation, building on the achievements of this year's event.
Cui called for establishing platforms for dialogue to build consensus, deepening pragmatic cooperation to benefit the people of the region, promoting broad participation to share the outcomes of modernization, and enhancing cultural exchanges to strengthen the foundations of cooperation.
During the closing ceremony, the forum's list of outcomes was announced. Chen Weijun, executive vice-chairman of the people's government of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, delivered the closing address.
