Delegates from 21 countries have gathered in Jiangxi, where AI-powered medical consultations and AI-enabled thermal moxibustion robots are showcasing their capabilities.

The 2026 Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Forum on Traditional Medicine opened on September 17 in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province. Under the theme "Empowering Traditional Medicine with Modern Technology to Co-build Human Health for All," this year's Forum focuses on key areas of cooperation, including artificial intelligence and the digital economy, with an emphasis on leveraging digital technologies to advance traditional medicine.

In addition to the opening ceremony, the Forum will feature a series of activities, including thematic forums, special events, exhibitions and displays, and field visits,  facilitating multi-level exchanges and cooperation among SCO countries in policy, scientific research, industry, and culture.

A range of cutting-edge technologies are making its debut, bringing the wisdom of traditional medicine to more people and helping deliver its benefits to a wider population.
